Lower Elbert Creek Trail Project

Saturday, June 1, the annual trail clearing for our adopted section of Lower Elbert Creek Trail.

Directions: take US 550 North from Durango about 20 miles to the Needles Country Store on the left. Horse trailer parking at the Needles Country Store is limited so park to the left of where you turn in.

Bring work gloves, lunch and drinking water. Tools will be provided and stock water is available along the trail. This is a short trail section and is an easy ride or hike. We will do any necessary clearing and drainage improvements. We will plan on stopping at the line cabin about 1.5 miles up the trail where we will cut back willow brush and have lunch. Please be ready to ride or hike at 10 a.m. For more information, call Art Berg at 799-4451 or Pat Berg at 247-1460.
